Last week was spent watching countless episodes of The Office, lying on the beach for hours, kayaking and kayaking and kayaking, looking at countless numbers of jellyfish, driving over twenty minutes to get ice cream every night, feeding fish in a pond for over an hour without losing amusement, and consuming far too many potato chips and honey crisp apples. I was lucky to get to experience Florida for the first time with my best friend Ellie who somehow agreed to come with me and my family. Also, I ate a taco salad for lunch every day of our vacation and never once managed to get sick of it.
Here are some photos from the trip:
This photo is from the night Ellie and I made dinner all by ourselves. We danced and cooked hamburgers on the stove and it got so good that we had to open up the patio door because our awesome dance moves were literally setting the kitchen on fire. It was either that or the hamburgers that made the room a bit smoky. Still not sure.
Mom and Dad definitely spent every minute they could at the beach. It’s safe to say this was their ultimate happy spot.
The sunsets in Florida were so beautiful! They got prettier and prettier every night. I think the palm trees made them ten times better.
This is Ellie holding a jellyfish! Thursday afternoon Ellie and I took a kayak out to the second sandbar. It was there that we experienced the most exciting jellyfish sighting we will ever have in our lifetime. There were so many jellyfish. We must have seen thousands. It was insane.
Despite the cloudy skies on the first day, the weather and waves were perfect throughout the week.
We may have gone to the same ice cream shop every night in hopes to find the boy who took our order the first night we decided to go. And I am very sad to say that we never saw his pretty face again. Pablo, if you are reading this, just know we invested gas, money, and the state of our stomachs in hopes of seeing you again.
Another beautiful beach sunset! And merely moments after this we almost died in a golf cart. No exaggeration.
Beach Val & Ellie. Priceless positive vibes.
We were actually building B. But the photo was cute.
So so happy I got to spend my week with LED. We laughed way too hard, bruised our arms from playing too much volleyball, and may have watched more than two seasons of The Office. It’ll be hard to forget the week we had.
Love, Valerie x
